Just because someone has a great resume, experience, or is a so called attack dog, does not make him or her the right match. Yes, that is right, match. Obama has a certain message and dynamic that he has built and the person selected should compliment but not alter the dynamic. Also, some people are just wrong because of the effect of such selection. Big example, Mark Warner. He should not be on anyone’s, Vice President list when there are other suitable choices. Why on earth take away a Senate seat pick up that we most likely will win when there are at least a handful of other people who are suitable. Likewise, why would you want to select someone who in pictures makes Obama look like that person's grandchild? Well, that is my opinion, take it or leave it.
As a result of a long primary, why choice someone who may rattle the cages even further. I have reconsidered several of my favorite choices for this reason alone. For example, I love Tim Kaine and I think he is a good match. But he rattles the cage by only having a mixed pro-choice rating from the NARAL. I imagine he would have to spend much of his time explaining his position on progressive women issues and that is just not a good way to start of a GE campaign. Also, anyone who has skeletons or have made negative comments about women, gays or ethnic groups that will lend way to an entire CNN special should not be selected. There are people, despite his or her experience who are just the wrong choice. Would you not agree?
