During the month of April, 41.7% of Americans considered themselves to be Democrats. Just 31.6% said they were Republicans and 26.6% were not affiliated with either major party. This is the third straight month Obama’s team has enjoyed a double-digit edge.
Great news from Republican evangelical polster Scott Rasmussen. I'm not sure what Rasmussen's data was based on, but I am happy to see the news that Republicans are fading away. However, the thing that really bothers me is that Scott Rasmussen has Dick Morris and Froma Harrop on his editorial staff and if you go to the front page of the Rasmussen Reports website, you will see a big picture of Barack Obama with the heading "Over for Obama" prominently displayed across a picture of Obama and supplied by the rightwing (news) organization, Newsmax.

Now I know that Rasmussen is one of the "darling" polls that Markos likes to use here on DKOS, but I find them to be pretty middle of the road on their predictions. So my question is this: can we trust Scott Rasmussen to be publishing his findings as the actual truth of his polling, or has he swayed the poll for some other nefarious reason? I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but what I do know, and will never forget, is that republicans will resort to any action or behavior to keep their own foot soldiers in office. They will even resort to taking elections to the right leaning Supreme Court to overthrow the wishes of the electorate. Remember that?
