Brush my f-in teeth, Kos!!!

Are you all kidding? I mean, really, is this what Daily Kos flame wars have come to?

John McCain's tan teeth? His apparent lack of dental hygiene?

I offer no opinion on the merit of Kos' original front page story that started this latest brew ha ha. But I do offer an opinion on the quality of the subject of our latest flame war.

Gone are the days of "Fuck Ohio," wherein I insulted not only the entire population of a state, but also the legitimate concerns of many concerning election fraud in the 2004 election.

Gone are the days of the Pie Wars, where notions of militant feminism collided with a cheesy yet slightly arousing TV ad.

Gone are the days of the Pope Wars, where militant atheists stomped on the grave of the late Pope John Paul the Great and called the incoming Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi.

Gone are the recriminations of what went wrong and who is to blame after our devastating loss in 2004.

Gone are the days of the passionate infighting among the Clarkies and the Deaniacs and what few Kerriacs were present here back in 2003.

Indeed, some may say we have just concluded the greatest and longest flame war ever, the battle of Clinton v. Obama v. Edwards.

Now we are left with the important and scintillating topic of an old man's teeth.

I will speak for all the "old-timers" on Daily Kos when I say

"Meh."
