CNN Transcript:
BLITZER: Are there any significant economic differences between what the Bush administration has put forward over these many years as opposed to now what John McCain supports?
SANFORD: Um, yeah. For instance, take, you know, take, for instance, the issue of -- I'm drawing a blank, and I hate it when I do that, particularly on television. Take, for instance the contrast on NAFTA. I mean, I think that the bigger issue is credibility in where one is coming from, are they consistent where they come from.
Finally, Sanford came up with an answer:
McCain has opposed earmarks while President Bush hasn't, ...then Blitzer twisted the knife in a bit further during his follow-up on Governor Sanford's initial mention of NAFTA. "He's a huge supporter of free trade, John McCain, the Bush administration supports free trade. I don't see a big difference."

Here's a great bumper sticker for McCain/Sanford:
McCain-Sanford...Dumb and Dumber!
I can see a great 30 second campaign commercial in October showing Sanford "drawing a blank" followed by Gramm's uncompassionate and really stupid comments, followed by Fiorina's mistake. Too Funny! This is what happens when reality and facts conflict with prepared talking points.
Add Governor Sanford's misstep to Carly Fiorina's gaffe about McCain and birth control/Viagra and Phil (ET) Gramm's monumental gaffe equating economically hurting Americans with being whiners and I'd say McCain had the kind of week he truly deserves. Disasterous!!!!!
Does McCain have any surrogates that have half a brain between them? Probably not since I've always held forth that people who vote Republican these days have something mentally "W"rong with them.
