McCain predicts 'spectacular' terror attempts in Iraq

(CNN) — John McCain said Friday he expects the presidential election this fall will increase the occurrence of "spectacular" terror attempts in Iraq.

"I predict that they will make an attempt as we get in to the election season to make more of these spectacular kinds of attacks which they're still capable of doing," he said. "The suicide bombers, et cetera, would not surprise me and we've already found out that they're going to try and step up their attacks and try and do things in a more spectacular fashion so that they can erode the support of the Maliki government."

OK, boys and girls, pay attention...sit up straight. Here's the deal.

The McCainiacs are going to use every dirty trick in their seemingly endless bag of dirty tricks to try to win this election. The principle reason for this dragging out of the old try and true canards, half-truths, deceptions, lies, misdirections, counter-speak, etc, etc, is because they have to hold their base. And I mean their entire base which is somewhere in the area of 36% to 38% of registered voters. The problem they have, however, is that, thanks to the machinations and misdeeds of the Idiot Boy King, they have lost about 10% of that base.

In order to have the slightest chance of winning in November, they must get back that lost 10%. And the only way they think they can do it is by using the same tactics that worked for them in 2000 and 2004.

So from now until election day, we are going to see and hear the same old, same old about abortion, gays, god, guns, family values, terrorism, homeland security, and everything else that goes into that noxious admixture of fear and hate.

But trust me. For the McCainiacs, three times is not the charm.
