As an infrequent diarist, I find myself compelled to come out of the woodwork and defend those that believe it's right to call a spade a spade. While some namby-pamby wussies are going to be walking around all day with the hair on the back of their neck standing up because big bad Bill O'Reilly is going to go on the Fox News and tell the world how we mean spirited librul bloggers are disgracing the memory of a recently dead (and undoubtedly roasting in Hell) American Icon.

A man who supported and took money from Big Tobacco, and called UNC a college for communists and negros (in 1995!). He liked Augusto fucking Pinochet.

He was a narcissistic homophobic bigot who, up 'till his death, still hatted "fags and niggers". If you feel the urge to call him a rotten hell bound piece of shit, please do so. If you think this is inappropriate...

Go fuck yourself. Besides, if Helms did anything right, it was speak his mind to greatly motivate the lowest common denominator.
