Obviously I don't have a voice nor a choice in the US, and there's probably no reason the average US voter would listen to a foreigner. But it's very confounding to hear that Americans want to be the leader/global super power of the free world, yet they don't seem to want to give a rat's ass what the rest of the world thinks. I'm talking about somehow Obama's 200,000+ crowd in Berlin is somehow a negative in the states, been seen as elitist and celebrity and all, whereas McCain's 9 mansions, cheating on his first wife, marrying into wealth, $520 loafers is somehow overlooked or whitewashed.
I keep hearing on this site about how Obama has the ground-game, the record-breaking fund raising advantage, the net-presence, the appeal to young, energetic voters, etc. They all seem very reassuring for an Obama landslide, but the fact is, Obama has outspent McCain 5 to 3 in the month of July, and McCain's numbers just keep going up!
Now I know Americans don't like being told what to do, and I'm sure millions of people have asked you guys this already, but... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for Obama NOT to be trouncing McCain in EVERY ASPECT! I cannot stress this enough.
There are so many anti-McCain materials out there it's not even funny, yet the Obama-being-a-lightweight-celebrity theme is all what's being talked about. I'm sure some of you are in the Obama campaign or knows someone who works there. Please, for the good of the world please assure your fellow democrats you guys are going to swift-boat the living crap out of McCain and will all be giving your 120% getting Obama in office.
