"Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people "cling" to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?"

See, the reason is your guy's economic policies are the Bush economic policies, which America hates the holy living fuck out of. And your guy stumbles and pauses and mumbles and blurts out stupid shit all the time about the economy. He can't help it. He's a bad candidate. The rich/non-rich line is $5 million, so Obama isn't even rich by your doofus' own definition. Whoops. Your candidate's wife is an heiress who will see 1 million dollars from the sale of Budweiser. She thinks the only proper way to travel around Arizona is private plane. That's pretty in touch.

Your guy has a treasure trove of embarrassing answers about how swimmingly he thinks things are going in the economy. He can't stop. He can't help himself. Even yesterday he said the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Obama is clearly willing to put those on TV. Picture this:
