Breaking! Obama picks Biden (Update! Even More Breaking)

Yes, you heard it here first. Barack Obama has chosen Senator Biden to be his running mate. I just got the text message about 2 minutes ago, as I'm sure most of you did. The full text of the text message is included in this diary.

Now, the media will probably break this story in a few minutes so I am typing fast! Please excuse any typos as I am typing fast.

It is reported that Senator Biden is in the Senate and was running for President but then dropped out. Biden has foreign policy experience, including a son in the military, and is going to be a kickass Vice President.

While I was typing this, CNN just confirmed that Obama chose Biden.

(CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama has selected Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware as his running mate on the Democratic ticket for the White House, three Democratic sources told CNN.

This is great news! We now can know who our Vice President pick is and coalesce at the convention.

Now what will Clinton supporters think of this choice? It is true Biden had great respect for Senator Clinton and never endorsed her or Obama until things quieted down. However, some Clinton supporters are still angry, saying the text went out at 3PM as a sign of the infamous "3PM ad". For those irrational folks, I'm sorry. We can only imagine this will be good for everybody truly involved.
