....Remember how the huddled mass of old rich white folk would begin to chant on cue "USA...USA...USA" whenever there was a "disruption" in the hall or some of the sounds from the angry protesters outside threatened to seep through and spread across their tightly controlled airwaves? Well they've put that little gambit to much better use.

Now whenever the truth about John McCain or Sarah Palin or the Republicans threatens to break out, acolytes from their Ministry of Propaganda are quickly dispatched to quell such damaging revelations. And it has succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Think of it as the O'Reilly Factor but on a much broader scale. Shout down your opponent or whoever it is who has the temerity to challenge the Republican version of the truth. Hey, it makes for great political theater of the absurd and the "news" morons actually aid and abet them. And woe betide the insignificant little ass wipe reporter or talking head who attempts to correct their lies and distortions. (Think Campbell Brown and CNN). The punishment is too horrible to contemplate. No soup interview for you!

And they have reaped an abundant harvest from these seeds of untruth. They have managed not only to dominate the news cycle every day for the last ten days, but they have knocked the Obama campaign back on its heels, and have been further rewarded with soaring poll numbers. And all by simply shouting USA...USA...USA. God, I love democracy, don't you?

But be warned. These very same tactics have gotten them the White House twice. Don't think that they won't achieve the same result a third time.
