No. We still do not have power back since Hurricane Gustav hit Baton Rouge on September 1 -- and no clear idea as to when it will come back on.

We're running on two generators that keep the refrigerator/freezer going, some fans and lights and a window AC unit.

And not only that: the traffic around here is a roaring nightmare (that's me in the picture, in the near lane, third from front).

So, after 11 days, here are the Top 10 Lessons Learned in Baton Rouge After Hurricane Gustav:

No matter how many times you flick the switch, lights don't work without electricity.

Disasters can cancel one LSU football game but there will be even bigger casualties if we cancel two.

People will get into a line that has already formed without having any idea what the line is for.
