As loath as I am to further ridiculous story lines, this is just too good to pass up. According to a post by AmericaBlog's John Aravosis, the McCain campaign has dropped some serious coin on beauty products.

Aravosis reports that the current issue of Us Magazine, under the heading "Celebrity News," has an exclusive report that Senator John McCain employed the services of former "American Idol" make-up artist Tifanie White to get the Senator camera-ready at televised events earlier this year.

The cost? According to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, $5,583.43 during the last reporting period. That certainly blows away the $400 that John Edwards spent on his notorious haircut.
