A strong reason I support Barrack Obama is because he can change the perception of America's image around the world. People in our country and beyond are so thirsty after eight years of lies, scandal and criminal activity. So, it is interesting to see how others in the world viewed Sarah Palin's first time in the National spotlight. But before you follow me over the jump, I want to say that I am so upset at Palin trashing people like my sister who struggled with dyslexia and after years of hard work to earn her degree, became a social worker and community organizer. My sister drives an old beat-up car and has sacrificed so much in order to help people of various nationalities, cultures and ethnic backgrounds. My sister loves her work and the country is a better one because of my sister. She has worked with so many families, from families who have a loved one terminally ill to battered women who need shelter for their family. So, you must know I am seething because of the latest Republican assault on the disadvantaged.

Sarah Palin's presence on the stage at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul was hardly impressive. But her party hasn't seemed so human in a long time. Palin's weaknesses may turn out to be her greatest strength

We are fighting against a nasty party that wants to give billions of dollars to the most wealthy and laugh at those who want to help the poor by choice. People like my own sister.

Morally, Sarah Palin tends toward rigidity. She is a devout supporter of abstinence-only programs instead of sex education in schools, a position that her own 17-year-old daughter shows as being impracticable. Indeed, at first blush, it seemed a profound embarrassment to both Palin and her party that, in the same week as the Republican National Convention, McCain's newly-crowned vice-presidential candidate had to admit to her own daughter's unplanned teen pregnancy. The Republicans wanted to talk about the myriad threats facing the world -- and suddenly they ended up in the bedroom of Palin's daughter.

These people are just hypocrites. They talk about preservation of life, but when a woman makes the decision to give birth, as Palin did, they slash programs to enable those very same women to be able to raise their child. Palin cut a program for homeless teenage mothers for example.

Republican Party strategists must be satisfied. If one wants to extend the term of a party which has fallen as far as Bush's Republicans have, one has to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

A rabbit which seems fresh and unsullied. Like Sarah Palin.

At the end of the day, she will not be able to cover up her stench. Let's get her.
