Sarah Palin diminished the contributions of community activists, implying that only elected officials like her have actual responsibilities.
That means that Sarah Palin has shown typical Republican condescension by looking down her nose at all of those community activists who are not serving in elective office.
So...
For all of those community activists who are fighting hard for the rights of disabled Americans everywhere...Sarah Palin does not think you’re worthwhile.
For all of the community activists fighting on either side of the abortion debate, both Pro-Choice and Anti-Choice...Sarah Palin does not think your contributions are as valuable as hers.
For all of the community activitists who have fought against discrimination of any type over the years, Sarah Palin apparently doesn’t hold your efforts in very high regard.
To Sarah Palin, only those people who are lucky enough to purchase their way to political power are apparently worthwhile public servants.
It’s now easy to see why Palin is in political hotwater in her own state. If she treats the people of her state with the same level of arrogance that she displayed at the Republican Convention, she deserves the disdain of every citizen of this land, whether they are citizen activists, or not.
Sarah Palin is pretending to be a populist, even while she looks down her nose at all of the hard-working citizen activists in this country who are fighting every day to make this a better place for all.
