I have spent far too much of my Saturday reading blogs and I have grown increasingly disturbed by what I am reading about the election. Liberal/progressives are smug and cynical and I am afraid not taking the threat from the Republican smear campaign seriously. Sarcasm and wit don't hold water with these guys. They are masters at this. Shouldn't you realize this by now? How many more elections are Democrats going to lose before we wake up and stand up to this!
I hope what I stated in my intro incenses you. Good. It is meant to. You need to get off your computers on the weekend and start campaigning the old fashioned way and get to your local Obama headquarters and hit the phones and start canvassing neighborhoods. Talk to people, hand out literature, make calls. You can sit and whine all you want about Republican lies, corruption, destruction of the housing market, union busting, a failed system without checks and balances on the financial industry, 6.1% jobless rate, condoning of torture, the deaths of over 4,000 of our soldiers, and scores more wounded, and not to mention a complete moose stew chowing idiot potentially (if we lose, McCain dies in office) sitting as our next President of the United States. How many of Obama's e-mails asking for volunteers have you ignored and instead you simply click an amount charged to your credit card? Wake up people - we cannot win this election watching MSNBC, reading the Huffington Post, LOL at Jon Stewart's satire. Do I sound angry? You bet I am with FOX News propogandizing (did you see their viewership numbers during that hate spewing RNC? Scary!). I don't care how many enormous crowds this excellent brilliant man conjures up and inspires. We can lose this bloody election if we don't start banging on doors and talking to people about the importance of this election to their daily lives and futures.Quit blogging and take action!! ! November 4th - two months away!
