In between classic country songs, the DJ started talking about how he knows times are tough and he also mentioned PE Obama's weekly address about how his stimulus plan hopes to create 3-4 million new jobs.
The tone the DJ adopted wasn't angry, hateful, partisan or snarky - but rather hopeful and wanting to believe that better days are ahead, and totally willing to follow the leadership of an Mixed-Race American Democratic President.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that aside from the 25% brainwashed deadenders who still believe, there's a mood I'm picking up that even those who didn't vote for Barack are seeing that he has good ideas and are willing to have him implement those and follow-through.
Following on the heels of the Worst. President. Ever. - going into the White House with a 70-80% approval rating, this is the Democrat's moment. Our leaders should not be afraid of Republican obstructionsts in Congress, let them make fools of themselves, let them slide further into the politcal wasteland if they don't want to help.
We can't let this moment slip.
"Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled"
