HB 436, Marriage Equality was the first order of business in the NH House this morning, and they're just now getting to a vote at 12:30.
The bill passed, 186-179.
I was watching the vote streamed live on NH General Court website. The Union Leader confirms.
About damned time.
You can read the full text of the bill Here.
Two years ago NH was the first state to pass Civil Unions without court order, now we are on the verge of being the first state to pass full Same Sex Marriage in kind.
We have yet to see, of course, if the NH Senate will support the bill, or if the Governor, John Lynch will veto it.
