On the eve of American history...Cindy McCain is still whining! She attacked media coverage of her husband’s presidential campaign today, saying there is now “very little difference now between journalism and gossip.” Ms. McCain went further...
“Without sounding bitter—and I’m not bitter—I do believe there was a media bias. I do believe that the media had a specific agenda and with that said, the American people cast their vote,”
"Without sounding bitter"...LOL..let it go,Cindy.....try your hardest to be gracious and for goodness sake, get connected with a dose of reality. Your husband lost by a landslide because he wasn't well suited for the job. Graciousness will get you further in the long run than a Nixonian-like whine against the "mean" press. Cindy...you can assert, "I'm not bitter" but no one buys it when you continue with the petty rebukes. Move on like everyone else has. Your husband loss at his own hand...not because the press had anything to do with it.
Nobody was hit harder in the press than the first African American to head a major party and ultimately win. The press was way too soft on the war hero who self admittedly knew nothing of economics and then chose his Vice Presidential side kick without properly vetting her.
Cindy McCain made her whining rant in an interview she gave to her daughter Meghan, a self proclaimed blogger who posted the transcript on The Daily Beast:

Poor Cindy:
While we were on the campaign trail, a lot was said about my mom, Cindy McCain. The media called her a Stepford wife and a Barbie doll. But because my dad was the Republican presidential nominee, she had to be careful about responding to the things being written about her. Today, all that has changed. I blogged during my dad’s campaign (sometimes to the consternation of his staff), and witnessed my mom’s interactions with the public and press firsthand. Now, as she heads to Washington for the inauguration, she opens up to me about that infamous New York Times profile (and the other media battles), being portrayed as a Stepford wife, and how her skin has thickened since the run in 2000.
I very clearly remember Cindy McCain standing before a large crowd at a rodeo in her "fake" cowboy boots proclaiming that.."I've always been proud of my country" proffered as a rebuke to the incredibly misquoted Michelle Obama who actually stated that "for the first time in my adult life, I'm (really) proud of my country"...Cindy didn't mind using a misquoted statement which was wrongly mocked and ridiculed in most of the press even when she knew it was wrong, to attack her opponent.
Michelle Obama:
"What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something -- for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud."

Another gem from McCain:
Meghan McCain: We had long discussions during the campaign about both of us feeling like D.C. outsiders. Why do you think we both felt that way? Do you think it’s because our family lives in Arizona and you elected to live here instead of D.C.?
Cindy McCain: First of all, the obvious answer is yes because we have not lived in Washington D.C. and I personally have always thought that it was a good thing. Remember, I am not being critical of those who chose to live and work in Washington D.C. However, for us, I grew up a Westerner and I was most comfortable in the West and therefore raised you in the West. Your father and I decided early on to raise you all outside the Beltway so you would not grow up being affected, thinking you were important because your father is a senator. I also think that in some cases the way we were approached because we are not from D.C. seemed threatening to a lot of people. Because we were seen as outside the Beltway in some cases both of us ended up being misunderstood by the press.
What an asinine remark. Did Cindy McCain actually think that her kids would grow up being less "affected" because their father was senator...living in the actual state where he is a senator, as opposed to living in DC where they would just be one of the many kids of politicians. The fact is that Cindy McCain hated Washington DC because she was shunned by "society" there. She was an outcast by her own admittance. Washington society, as well as the Reagans...disliked her because she was "the other woman" who interfered with John McCain's first family and seriously ill first wife.
Cindy McCain is still angry that the New York Times published a biography of her that wasn't a complete "puff" piece. They gave the whole story..as recounted from Cindy McCain's own interviews over the years about her drug and legal problems. They wrote about her affair with a married John McCain....and yes, it was all true. That's what irked the doltish Cindy McCain the most. She couldn't contest one word of the article.
Of course, she fails to mention the fact that the NYT also did an in depth piece about Michelle Obama. What must have irked Cindy was that Michelle Obama has no illegal drug history, Michelle Obama did not steal from a charity and Michelle Obama did not commit adultery. What Michelle Obama did do is put herself through school and graduated at the top of her class at the country's most prestigious law school. Cindy McCain must have been really angry that she has never accomplished one thing in her life that wasn't handed to her on a silver platter...by somebody else.
What is it with Republicans and their endless whining about how everybody was "mean" to them? Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin should take their "miserable" show on the road...these two lying hypocrites deserve each other!
