I'm vaccinated!

This is a short, almost non- diary.

Yesterday, while walking across the campus at my university, I saw a sign that said "Free H1N1 vaccine for faculty & staff."

Went in rolled up my sleeve, got my seasonal, then took two shots up the nose with the H1N1 live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV).

24 hours later, and I'm still alive and kicking. I haven't grown a third arm or eye...

Judging by what is bandied about with the conspiracy crowd, you'd think I would be dead and buried by now. Or at least lining up to blindly follow Obama to the communist promised land. (In fact, Obama has always been too conservative for me!)

Anyway, one additional factoid for people hesitant to get the H1N1 vaccine because of thimerosal (which, I will admit to being).

The inhaled version of the H1N1 vaccine (LAIV) does NOT contain thimerosal!

If I do grow a third arm, I will be sure to update this diary immediately...or as soon as I learn to speed-type with three hands.

I now have the sudden urge to upgrade to Windows 7, but I am sure that is totally unrelated.
