List of Nobel Peace Prize Winners
Attempting to belittle President Obama's surprise and shocking win of the Nobel Peace Prize does not wear well on the Republicans.
In fact, when was the last time a Republican won anything for peace? If I can recollect, Teddy Roosevelt? Oh no, Henry Kissinger in 1973 for trying to end the Vietnam War. But still, these days Republicans for peace?
The nastiness of the Republican Party for this award, which had nothing to do with Barack Obama, and the nastiness of Chicago, USA losing the Olympic bid makes one wonder, are they even patriotic?
We, Democrats fight amongst ourselves, but when one of our own wins a distinguish prize, as the Nobel Peace Prize, we stand patriotic and proud of living in the United States of America.
The Bush Administration destroyed much of the goodwill and political capital we had in his two wars which has practically bankrupted this country. And if you ask Americans now, we want to give PEACE A CHANCE.
The Republican Party needs to know which battle to attack and win, because so far, they have won absolutely nothing.
Many on here may tire of Obama and his bipartisan approach, me included, but he is the right measured man at the helm that this country needs to move forward diplomatically on the international stage. It has been Barack Obama who has had to give the olive branch leaf out to the international community and ask them to give US, yes the United States of America a chance, AGAIN.
For all the hate the Republicans have, this is a lost cause, it makes them look petty and continually irrelevant.
Congratulations, President Obama and I look forward to you delivering a slam dunk speech in Oslo, Norway on December 10, 2009.
