This is the new mothership diary--Gorette's was the original mothership, but she's unable to tend it.

Debate started around 9:00 AM EST and will go on throughout the day until "hopefully" successful Cloture vote which Reid has scheduled for 8:00 PM EST.  Watch online atC-SPAN2.

The big news so far--Mary Landrieu says she'll vote for cloture, leaving only Blanche Lincoln as the sole Democrat who hasn't made up her mind yet.

Debate time will be split as follows--the Republicans have the floor now (1:30 Eastern).

2-3pm Democrats
3-4pm Republicans
4-5pm Democrats
5-6pm Republicans
