The next “Love Catcher” is for Dreaming of Better Days. She has an extremely warm heart and is constantly tender with people who are grieving or suffering in any way. Unfortunately, her own acquaintance with personal suffering is very real. She has lymphoma.
I am asking her blog community to provide loving and supportive messages for Dreaming that I will write in archival ink on 4.5 inch muslin squares and sew into a quilt for her. This quilt will be like an enormous group hug, something she can snuggle under, cry into, and smile with.
You can find some pictures of pior quilt projects here. And here are the latest ones:
Michelle Caudle’s quilt, "Flowers for Michelle" – sent to the reporter who broke her story for delivery.
BFSkinner’s quilt, “Pootie Power”:
Kitsap River’s quilt top (ready for layering and quilting):
Last but not least, I have Frederick Clarkson’s quilt laid out, ready to sew. I’ll be sharing that photo in a day or so. It is representing a seed pattern for a classical labyrinth.
Thoughts for future projects: Timroff has had a rocky time with cellulitis -- would you like to have a quilt made for him?
one bite at a time lost her house and beloved cat last week to fire. She and her family are feeling the shock -- although they are very grateful that no one other than the cat was hurt. I think she could use some community comfort, too.
