Seriously, when you look at who has been Lieberman's biggest booster, Barack Obama has to be up there.
- Campaigned for him in 2006, and after the primary did next to nothing for Lamont.
- Lobbied the Senate Dems to keep Lieberman in the caucus (remember, this was before Frankin was leading in the vote count, so he wasn't the 60th senator)
- Lobbied the Senate Dems to Lieberman chairman of the the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
- Is pressuring Harry Reid to give in to Lieberman's blackmail.
And after all this, Obama is
thanking Joe Lieberman for being inside the tent, pissing in, on healthcare reform:
Obama thanked Lieberman privately for his statement issued earlier Tuesday pledging support for the bill as long as the Medicare expansion and public option were eliminated from the bill, Lieberman said.
Seriously, that sounds like, "Thank you sir, can I have another?"
Lieberman just wants to hurt liberals, because he lost the Connecticut primary.
Why support such a small and petty man?
