Bailout Idea!

Our economy is a mess, and taxpayers are being expected to foot the bill. I have no problem paying may fair share, business or personal, but how do we know they won’t squander those funds too?

I don’t know about you, but I’m thouroughly disgusted with how things are turning out. Companies like Enron, WorldCom and others have been allowed to walk away from the havoc, some have not even got a slap on the wrist.

Why can’t the government require these individuals to payback all the money above their regular income? I don’t advocate taking from the rich and giving to the poor, but as a business owner I don’t get a bonus if the company is in financial trouble.

I am in full agreement with those who believe we cannot spend ourselves out of this mess. Spending is what got us here. I say they go back to all those individuals and collect the golden parachutes! Some of it is taxpayer money right?

All of these companies asking for bailout funds need to give back ALL bonuses. If your salary is $500,000 a year then you need to give back everything above that.

No money should be spent beyond the cost of doing business. All profit should be reinvested into the companies until they are operating in the black for at least 4 quarters.

If this isn’t enough, then ask taxpayers to kick in to help out! We didn’t do this by ourselves and we shouldn’t be expected to foot the entire bill. You want people to sign off these bailouts, then SHOW US how sorry you are instead of just saying it!!
