A Deficit of Wisdom [Video Everyone Must See]

There is a definite crisis in America today. It is one that threatens to dismantle our way of life, and it is a deficit of wisdom. I came across a TED Talk the other day that is beautiful in its message, and finally puts into words in an eloquent and succinct way, the thoughts and feelings we know to be true.

In this 20 minute talk Barry Schwartz lays out the current culture of rules and incentives that have displaced common wisdom. It is definitely worth the watch it can be found here (if the embed isn't working)

Just a little bit of info on TED from their about TED page

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
