"Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban," Sessions said during a meeting with Hotline editors. "And that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person's entire processes. And these Taliban -- I'm not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban. No, that's not what we're saying. I'm saying an example of how you go about [sic] is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with."
Sessions is not saying the Republican Party is the Taliban, just that Congressional Republicans are going to become the Taliban.
This is a major leader of the House Republican Caucus, the chairman of the National Republican Campaign Committee. Sessions is in charge of the strategy and tactics he thinks are necessary to win more seats for Republicans in the House.
And he's a fan of the Taliban's tactics.
The Taliban, the folks who protected and supported Osama bin Laden as he planned and implemented the largest terror attack in the history of the world, killing thousands of people on September 11th, 2001 in New York City.
The Taliban, the folks who are responsible for an insurgency that has killed more than 1,000 military personnel from our allied effort in Afghanistan, and almost 650 American soldiers.
The Taliban, who believe that it's God's will that women be murdered if they have sex outside of marriage, and be beaten and whipped if they date someone outside of the Muslim faith.
The Taliban, who have as part of their mission wiping out anyone who doesn't agree with their racist, bigoted religious views.
Pete Sessions wants to model the GOP's tactics on the Taliban. What the hell, they already modeled their positions on them. Why not their actions?
