It's amazing to watch the party of lincoln turn into a party of bigots, racist, xenophopes and obstructionist.
A funny article by Politico this morning points out that GOP party elites want to move beyond social issues but the base wants the party more conservative.
But outside Washington, the reality is very different. Rank-and-file Republicans remain, by all indications, staunchly conservative, and they appear to have no desire to moderate their views. GOP activists and operatives say they hear intense anger at the White House and at the party’s own leaders on familiar issues – taxes, homosexuality, and immigration. Within the party, conservative groups have grown stronger absent the emergence of any organized moderate faction.
The "white only" club guy thinks its a good thing
"There is a sense of rebellion brewing," said Katon Dawson, the outgoing South Carolina Republican Party chairman, who cited unexpectedly high attendance at anti-tax "tea parties" last week.

Fox News hyped the teaparty as proof the country is turning away from obama. During his trip to Latin America the criticisms were severe from the right and sometimes demeaning.
TeaParty showed America just how low the Party of Lincoln has fallen, sad indeed.

Analyzing the polls Post TeaParty shows Obama,s Approval has either been steady or has increased, right and wrong track significantly better and the GOP has either declined or are still in the same sorry state.

The most devastating part of this poll ROFLMAO!!
There is a warning sign for the GOP in the new poll: 21 percent of those surveyed said they identify as Republicans, the fewest to do so in a Post-ABC poll in more than 25 years. Last fall, Democrats outnumbered Republicans at the polls by the biggest margin in network exit polls going back to the 1982 midterms.
Stuart Rothenberg,s take on the "Party of no" chances in 2010
there are no signs of a dramatic rebound for the party, and the chance of Republicans winning control of either chamber in the 2010 midterm elections is zero. Not "close to zero." Not "slight" or "small." Zero.

Mccain,s campaign manager Steve Schmidt take on the first 100 days ..lol!
"As a matter of reality, in the first 100 days, [the Republican Party] has not done anything to improve its political position with regards to the fact that it has been a shrinking entity,"
Republicans continue to bet against this president and majority of Americans,so far they are betting against the wrong country and president.
