Some thoughts for pro life (anti-choice) folks

I am pro choice. I believe people have the right to determine what happens to their bodies, including euthanasia. While I do have reservations about euthanasia, there is no question in my mind that a woman should be able to rid herself any growth at any time.

Below the fold I have some questions for the pro life folks.

Suppose you awakened one morning and found that you were attached to another person such that the two of you shared blood. You were also told the other person would die immediately if the attachment was removed. Would you remain attached? If not, then why not? If you would remain attached for how long would you remain attached? If you were told another person would die unless you became attached to them, would you? If not why not?

Many fewer children will die at/before birth if adequate food, shelter, and health care are given to pregnant women. How much of your own money are you willing to spend to ensure that all pregnant women in the US receive adequate food, shelter, and health care? If none, why? How much government money are you willing to spend to ensure that all pregnant women in the US receive adequate health care? If none, why? How much of your own money are you willing to spend to ensure that all pregnant women in the world receive adequate shelter, food, and health care? How much government money are you willing to spend ensure all pregnant women in the world receive adequate shelter, food and health care?

Many people die because of inadequate food, shelter and health care. What are you willing to do to ensure that all receive adequate food, shelter and health care?

I find that too many of the "pro life" community are really anti-choice, since they do not support life by spending their own or government money to support life. I also believe no one who is pro choice is anti life. Every pro choice person who I have ever met would spends their own money to support life, and supports the government spending money. Those Rush Limbaughs, Bill O'Reillys, Senator Brownbacks, Haley Barbors. . . of the world need to say they are anti choice and anti life, which is what they really are.

Yes thankfully there are even more people who are anti choice, but pro life.
