I don't get this site sometimes

I'm a (small-l) libertarian, which brings me close to liberals/progressives in a lot of ways. Civil liberties and the government staying out of our personal lives are two of the biggest issues on my agenda.

So, why is it every time I visit this site, all I see is Republican-bashing?

I get that Bush was the worst president in my lifetime. I'll stand downtown with a megaphone and state that until the police take me away, if only someone lends me a megaphone. However, Obama keeps not only repeating, but amplifying, everything that Bush did, and Bush was rightly called out for it. When I see a headline or read a post on different websites about Obama's continuation of the Bush regime, and I come here to the front page to see what's being said about it, what do I see?

Crickets.

I'll admit I don't come here every day, nor do I seek out diaries. I do see them sometimes as the result of Google searches. All I see is shilling for the Democratic Party, instead of sticking to any sort of principles. It's like Obama's maintaining the Bush status quo is just peachy, because he's a Democrat. I'm sure that's not true, because there have to have been entries critical of him (right?), but I never see them.

My question is: do the front page writers of this site actually hold to principles, or is it solely about carrying water for the Democratic Party? I did see some criticism of the Blue Dogs, but that's no more substantive than Republicans whining about those in the Log Cabin.
