Our Congress is waffling on health care reform. IF they sell us out to the insurance industry again, then THIS TIME we need to make them pay and pay dearly. To do that, we need to kick their sorry asses out of office.
But that's not enough. They'll just replace one useless Blue Dog/sleazy incumbent with some other Blue Washed Dem. We have to make sure that his replacement isn't another health industry sellout.
That's where YOU come in.
Let's face it, the only people we can trust are those who are fighting right here, right alongside us. And not any anonymous person that no one really knows like me or 90% of the posters here. I'm talking the big wigs. People like slinkerwink, bhudydharma, and even Kos himself. People who's credentials are impeccable.
If the heavy hitters of this website took up the call and threw their hats into the ring we could generate tons of grassroots support for them. Then we'd be assured that those we elected truly intended to push our agenda forward.
So I'm doing something unabashedly brazen: I'm asking that this diary be recced so that everyone who's someone on this website gets the opportunity to read my challenge:
Stop talking and start walking.
You know who you are. You're the reason why this is one of the biggest liberal websites out there. You're the reason why we have 60 Dems in Congress. You're the reason we have Barack Obama.
You can DO this.
If Congress doesn't get this done, YOU CAN. So throw your hats into the ring and announce that from this day forward, if Congress won't listen to the will of the people YOU WILL.
What say you Kossacks? Will you run primary challenges against those Dems who don't tow the line?
