The only thing to do now is to vote for Nader, and to encourage everyone to sit out in 2009 and 2010. Maybe that will teach Obama a lesson, which will put him back on the right path. Then again, it's probably too late for him. His presidency is a failed one. I will never forgive all of the huge slights against me and the common man. FISA is the defining issue of our time, for example. It affects many unemployed people, and telephone wiretaps keep people from getting healthcare because the phones are all busy and they can't call their doctor. That's not change we can believe in!!!
We need a third party system here folks. We need to push aside Obama and find a true progressive, like Nader. Obama is a conservative. He is a blue dog Democrat. I can't stand him.
I'm going to take my ball and go home now. I don't want to play anymore. This feels exactly like that time when my mommy didn't give me the toy I wanted for Christmas and I cried. It's a tragic moment in my life. I gave mommy 6 months to save up for the toy, but she couldn't afford it, and I was devastated. I never loved her again.
The Obama situation is similar. We gave him 6 months to fix this country while staying 100% steadfast to every single progressive principle. He failed on about 10 counts on some really important issues. It's time to abandon him. It's time to throw in the towel here and start thinking about 2016. Why 2016? Well - 2012 will be our year to throw a hissy fit and purposely make Obama lose, because it'll make us feel good, and since he abandoned his principles. This will teach future candidates to be better than him.
PS: WHERE IS THE CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IT?
UPDATE: A bunch of people are saying that this diary is wrong. They also think I drink from a straw or something. Here's a great quote from a VA Democrat that backs me up 100%:
"Nothing’s changed for the common guy," [said the VA "Progressive"]. "I feel like I’ve been punked."
I found this quote yesterday when it was passed on approvingly as evidence that Obama had failed by a diary on the rec-list.
