Some decisions ought to give a person a few qualms - like marrying Jesse James.

It didn't work out.

True, a person's family history shouldn't automatically disqualify them from being considered spouse/partner material. We are all capable of changing for the better.

Then again, the new version of Jesse James thinks, apparently, that his famous ancestor was a wonderful, justice-seeking hero (or something). Jesse James, in truth, was a violent criminal who led a destructive life, causing a swath of grief wherever he went. One of his own men shot him - good!

The current version of Jesse James confirms that sometimes the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.
