The House is not in session today.
In the Senate, courtesy of the Office of the Majority Leader:
Convenes: 9:30am
The Senate will convene at 9:30am and will resume consideration of S.3217, Wall Street Reform.
There will be no roll call votes during Friday’s session of the Senate.
The House won't be back until next Tuesday. And the Senate, although they'll continue working on the Wall Street reform bill, will hold no votes. On top of that, there's just one committee meeting today:
In the committees:
House
By the way, I classify the Joint Economic Committee as a House Committee, even though as a Joint Committee it has members from both houses. Why? Because the chairmanship of the committee rotates between the House and the Senate with every new Congress, and currently it's chaired by a House member (Carolyn Maloney, D-NY-14). Curiously, though, the website continues to live at the senate.gov domain. Whatever!
Anyway, no votes today, and therefore no real excitement expected. But I figured you might want to know, anyway. And now you do!
