First, a warning, prior to the vote:
"Brown we are all watching you!!! You better stay to your conservative values!!!"
Uh oh, it looks like Brown didn't listen! :)
*"you might has well be a democrat because you seem to bow down to harry reid on everything. we don;t want the fincancial reform bill because it hurts the people"
*"WTF dude why you vote for that bill?"
*"Mr. Scott [sic] I just wanted to let you know with this vote that will give the progressives the power to force this regulation down the people’s throat much like health care. I will no longer be supporting you in any future elections."
*"Scott Brown is a liar and doesn't give a rats ass about the American people. He duped us all and now we must live with our mistake. We shoulda known better. I can now finally "unfriend" him. Thanks for continuing the decline of our nation Scott. My kids thank you."
*"Wow you are a piece of work... You duped the American public into supporting you and now broaden Federal Government Power you RINO, Neo-Con liar. You are Harrys lackey... this bill broadens government reach and hurts us... you are bought and paid for."
*"I can't believe what a dirty politician your are ... I hope you like keeping company with Dodd and Reid you RINO! I will do what I can to help you join them on their way out of Washington!"
*"You dirty Sellout!!!!!!!!!!!"
*"Shame on you Scott Brown!!"
*"Senator Scott 'Benedict' Brown"
*"you were elected to fight the Obama agenda, you back stabbing bastard!"
*"You two-timing miserable bastard. You are a one-term Senator. Backstabber!!!!!"
*"Scott Brown, I think I speak for all freedom loving conservatives who sent money to your election fund, when I say, 'Fuck You!'"
*"Sounds like Ben Nelson move to me.... Sell out all of America to the Socialist, and try and exempt your own state... FU Brown!"
*"You should have just run as a democrat" (ouch, that one hurt! - lol)
And finally, this classic.
*"All I can do now is keep making contributions to Peter Schiff and Rand Paul."
Hahahahaha.
Seriously, though, what do Republicans expect when they try to appeal to the angriest segment of American political life? Do they really think they can play with fire and not get burned themselves in the end? On the other hand, I wouldn't really wish this level of vitriol on my worst enemy, certainly not over a cloture vote on a middle-of-the-road financial reform bill.
UPDATE: Another good one.
*"wow i feel like an idiot! I used fb, twitter to urge people to vote for you. Obama is not making fun of you in anymore, just us idiots that believed a truck driving smooth talker was someone we could trust. btw my small bank just sold out to a big bank, the goal of making big government in charge of our lives moves forward and you helped."
UPDATE #2: I like this one.
*"I got to laugh at all the campaign donors from out of state who somehow were under the illusion they were voting the second coming of Barry Goldwater. You all were like walking rah-rah cult robots. Advice to say you money next time - do your homework!"
UPDATE #3: In related news, Sen. Mark Warner says that this financial reform bill is "a little like the Goldilocks example yesterday; some guys saying this bill's too soft on the banks, we had other folks saying this bill's too hard on the banks, so maybe it's just right for the American people because it kind of makes both ends a little bit upset."
