ACTION: Let's make the NOLA clinic the biggest yet!

Just got the update from the NAFC: just over $205,000 was raised for the New Orleans free clinic. Words other than "thank you" fail me.

The NAFC is, of course, the National Association of Free Clinics.

Keith has been tireless in promoting and helping fund these important clinics throughout the country.

The next clinic will be in New Orleans, around the 5 year anniversary of Katrina. The director was on Countdown last night, and mentioned they were about $200,000 short from making the clinic what they want it to be. We easily made that marker.

But this is New Orleans. It has had, in the past 5 years, so much dumped on it that it makes me weep to think about it. We all saw Rachel's show last night, and tonight's show will be just like it. We need this clinic to be even bigger.

So what say you? shall we raise enough to add an extra day or two? Or even completely fund ANOTHER clinic in that area that so desperately needs care? Or shall we make it for the Gulf Coast in general? Remember, we should be seeing the first cases of Corexit Exposure Syndrome (not yet a real condition, but I'll bet it's gonna happen) coming soon.
