I just saw ANOTHER new Rasmussen poll for Pennsylvania that indicates very conservative Republican Pat Toomey beating Specter by 9 points and Sestak by 8 in our Senate race this year. The link is here:

Personally, I am sick of seeing so many Rasmussen polls everywhere and the mainstream media sure seems to report them - even Talking Points Media widely posts them on their web face page. Recently, Rasmussen has been criticized as being overly pro-Republican and also guilty of wording their polls in a way that would favor Republican respondents.
I am beginning to wonder if the sheer volumn of negative Rasmussen polls against Democratic candidates or likely candidates is beginning to contribute to excessive Democratic angst and is literally scarring off prospective candidates, candidates for re-election, or even scarring off Democratic voters from turning out in 2010?
I do not know what the solution is except for progressive pollsters to poll agressively, but to use PROPER polling techniques to go beneath the surface and report on results that are not so obvious, but important. For example reporting the number of people against Obama's Healthcare plan who are against it becauses it DOESN'T GO FAR ENOUGH! separately from those who think it is socialist etc. Markos said in a recent Tweet that he loves polls. He sure does a lot of them.....but we need more credible, good pollsters to combat the Rasmussen machine.
