The race to fill the late Edward Moore Kennedy's US senate seat is in full swing. This race is not just about who represents Massachusetts on the senate floor, it will be the turning point of the democratic agenda in our country. The electorate in Massachusetts will have the final say on many liberal fronts including health insurance reform and banking regulations.
A recent Rassmussen poll revealed only a 9% lead for democratic candidate Martha Coakley and a 2% lead amongst independents over Republican candidate Scott Brown. This is a big change in the lead since Martha's commanding lead of 30% in the beginning of December 2009. This is a choice between the 41st vote against everything the democrats want to accomplish or the 60th vote to progress forward with implimenting our principles.
Massachusetts is the "crown jewel" of the republican party, it would be an enormous victory for the entire GOP if this seat turns in the 41st, no vote. It will be a shameful day in our country's history if the successor of Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat is the one who completely halts his dream. Lets bring this race into the public's eye and push back the GOP. Support Martha Coakley, even if you don't live in Massachusetts, she is the pivotal 60th vote.
