It all started with a story reported in many places, including here:
Paul's initial comments in the debate focused on a Conway TV ad that began airing over the weekend that says that while in college at Baylor University, Paul was in a secret brotherhood that mocked Christianity. It also alleged that he tied up a woman while in college and forced her to bow down to a god named "Aqua Buddha."
Conway said the ad raises legitimate questions about Paul's values and repeatedly challenged Paul to answer two questions: Why did he join a college society, the NoZe Brotherhood, that mocked Christianity, and when is it appropriate to tie up a woman and make her bow down to "Aqua Buddha"?

Which fits Rand Paul perfectly into the Republican mold of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner. You see, to these hypocrites we should be like the skull-numb tea-baggers. We should listen to a bunch of hate and greed and agree with it and call it "Christian values". We should not watch the actions of folks, or conclude what the hatred and lunacy they condone would do to our country and the most helpless in our society. The very folks Christ had most compassion for are the ones that would be sacrificed in Mitch McConnell/Rand Paul Republicanism.
But what really is hypocritical is the verse that the Priest of the Church of Aqua-Buddha used to somehow justify himself, and the uncaring greed of the radical agenda now pushed by Republicans nationwide in response to the radical and zealous tea-party movement:
The ad has caused the race to descend "into the gutter," said Paul, who described himself as "a pro-life Christian." He recited biblical Scripture from the Book of Mark, asking Conway what does it profit a man to gain the world if he loses his soul?
But hold on just one minute. Rand Paul is asking this question of the wrong person. Why does he not ask this to his rich friends who have robbed this country blind and still want more tax cuts?? What good is it to extend the Bush tax cuts, steal your Social Security and cut every government program that helps the most helpless in our society just so the very wealthy can horde more money and crash our economy yet again?? Yes, Rand Paul and the Republicans have shown their true colors long ago. They sold their souls not to Aqua-Buddha but to Mammon, the god of greed. Why does Paul not quote Jesus when he said one cannot serve both God and Mammon?? Quite simply because Rand Paul and the whole Republican Party care nothing about Christ, they worship Mammon.
Just thik about some of the things these Republicans are pushing off on us with Rand Paul at the head of the tea-party movement. They want seniors to pay more for Medicare deductibles because they know they cannot abolish the program. They want to do away completely with Social Security. They want you to work for less so that the greediest and least patriotic among us can have more. They want to abolish programs that help sick children, the elderly, those impoverished by their policies, the unemployed who lost their jobs because of the Republican crash, and anyone else who needs and recieves any type of assistance whatsoever from our government.
And why?? What is so important to them that they would leave millions of the most helpless Americans to fend for themselves?? Tax cuts for the very rich who do not need them. Corporate Welfare for treasonous companies who outsource our jobs because Americans will not be slaves and Chinese children will. We have said it before here and I will say it again. Rand Paul and the modern Republican Party care nothing about waste, deficits or spending as long as they and their un-American, anti-Christian base of Mammon worshippers get to pocket all the money. They care nothing about anything but getting fat on all of us and maybe allowing us just a few scraps from their table to subsist on.
With the greed, the lies and uncaring idiocy these folks who claim to be Christian show towards their fellow man one can only conclude one thing. It is good that Christ has not a grave to roll over in like our forefathers do.
