I had a diary up several weeks ago addressed to the Movers and Shakers, which would be the young people.
As the weeks have flown by the election has gotten uglier
and uglier and my worst fears are beginning to come true.
This time around it is not just blacks but hispanics,
muslims,people with lesser means than the average, gays,
and especially women and anyone suspected of being a democrat. I knew, it would be bad but it can be

a whole lot worse.

I mentioned in the other diary that I recalled the Jim Crow
era and the Draft which this bunch will try and bring back because there is money in war and they love violence and have proven that with this past week's episodes.

We do not know what is going to happen Tuesday but this much I can tell you, some of you are too young to know how
bad things were in the 60's and we are heading in that
direction if that lunatic bunch get the majority.
Don't think things can't get worse because they can.
That is not fear. That is fact.
You should have been around (young folks) when the Alabama church was bombed and the helplessness of people getting away with what was common place. These tea party people want to go back to that time.
So many of you don't know what it is like to sneak around and play with a good friend who happens to be black and you are white. Whites only signs.....Random shootings in black neighborhoods, axe handles being sold out...You don't know how scary this is.

I plead with you to walk the walk between now and Tuesday.
Talk the talk and read up on the draft, the sixties, the turmoil, and get passionate...Very passionate...because yours and our very lives depend on it.

Here are a few reminders....
Thank you all for what you are doing and remember we can turn the clock back but this time we have no MLK. No Bobby or Jack Kennedy not even Teddy.
You are America's heros. You are the captains to turn this boat around in uncharted waters. It is up to YOU and it is up to me. I am too old to go back to those times or worse. You are fighting a war. A war to save what is left of a document that so many have fought for. The vote that so many died and bled for. There is no Superman coming to the rescue. Not this time. The battle is at the polls and the ballot box. We have to get the people out to vote. We have to stop the backwards time machine before it gets any further than it has. The time for action is now.
