If Rob Miller can benefit from anti-Obama, why not Chad McGowan

I want people here to remember when Joe Wilson said "you lie" to President Obama. Remember when that angered so many people that, in turn, those same people donated to his Democratic opponent, Rob Miller. Well, we're have someone a lot more ruthless - and it's time to help his Democratic opponent.

Now, if Jim DeMint says he's more comfortable with the tea party movement rather than congress I say let's send him there permanently. We need a person who is willing to work for all the people of the country, not just a selected few.

Jim DeMint has made it publicly known he's had it out for President Obama.
His "Waterloo" comments are all too familiar. Then, he tries to take them back.

We must ask ourselves here what has Jim DeMint offered since being elected? I can't think of anything substantial. Can you?

What I can offer is a Democratic candidate who can take the state of South Carolina forward. He can reverse course, shall I say. Chad McGowan has a plan - actually he has a few.

His stances on key issues are up on his Web site and he's been working people for their support, vote and money.

We all know to be sustainable in a election, you need money. Well, Jim DeMint has plenty. Through PACs, he can play kingmaker in other states. Do we really need such a person like that?

No.

We need a senator who is in this race not for the ego and not for the money. McGowan has put his law practicing on hold for this race. He is in this to win.

However, he needs the money to be sustainable. Jim DeMint has provided enough ammo to get hundreds of Kossacks to donate. Well, I say that Chad needs you. My state needs you. This country needs you.

I have been at this for years. I have subjected myself to the ridicule and dissent in S.C. for being a liberal.

I am proud of who I am. I do, however, realize we do not have the manpower nor the votes to elect a true liberal to office. Not yet.

With Chad, we can build a foundation that allows us to say we have one Democratic senator from S.C. standing up for job creation, energy independence and education.
