SC: Two Democratic city council members will speak at GOP-sponsored tea party

You read that right.

Two Democratic city council members are joining the fray of hysterical and misinformed people - known today as tea partiers. The ones known for carrying guns to presidential rallies. The ones known for spitting on a black lawmaker.

You sure you want to be part of what has become a racial crowd, Peggy Wayne and Jeanette Ard?

I consider Wayne a good friend.

Sorry, but this is something I cannot support. We have two elected leaders who registered as Democratic to get elected in the city and they now want to speak about how health care reform will effect small businesses? I'm a little disappointed.

Here's the thing. They in fact own small businesses. But why have self-proclaimed Democratic small business owners at the event?

It's a cheap shot. Or is it?

Do Wayne and Ard actually think health care reform is a bad thing?

The story makes it seem so. Look at GOP Patriots leader Vikki Ferris and her comments.

"We need to get fiscal conservatives elected in 2010. We have to elect every fiscal conservative anywhere in the country we can find them. We need to make sure we don’t put someone in office that is pretending to be a Republican but will vote for tax increases."

I guess we'll have to wait and see on April 15th what actually comes out of their mouths.
