This poll shows that despite their considerable bluster and self-righteous babbling they are no where near representative of America. Yes, like the Republican Party they arose in they seem to be a bunch of angry, old, rich white guys and not surprisingly they feel that a moderate President is "very liberal":
The 18 percent of Americans who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters tend to be Republican, white, male, married and older than 45.
They hold more conservative views on a range of issues than Republicans generally. They are also more likely to describe themselves as "very conservative" and President Obama as "very liberal."

What are they so mad at?? I mean Republicans they elected crashed our economy and caused all the problems we face. They are the only "patriots" during our history to get a tax cut during "war" a wasteful war started by them against the wrong country which of course Democrats are having to clean up. Of course it is not hard to figure out what their problem really is:
Tea Party supporters’ fierce animosity toward Washington, and the president in particular, is rooted in deep pessimism about the direction of the country and the conviction that the policies of the Obama administration are disproportionately directed at helping the poor rather than the middle class or the rich.
Yes to them the fact that our government may try to help more people attain the middle-class is deeply disturbing to them. They by and large are the folks who are paying the sorry-ass wages we are trying to live off of and are the ones whose greed outsources our jobs, but that is not enough for them. They seek to punish the working poor even further.
And of course, we know a lot of their other problem with things nowadays. You see while trying their best not to look overtly racist for opposing a moderate black President, their movement has definite racist undertones:
They are more likely than the general public, and Republicans, to say that too much has been made of the problems facing black people.
And of course as with most Republicans they want to completely ignore the fact that they voted for the problems that have beset this country and that it was their leaders who failed so miserably the last ten years:
But while most Americans blame the Bush administration or Wall Street for the current state of the American economy, the greatest number of Tea Party supporters blame Congress.
So while these folks will paint their fancy signs and blame everyone else for the problems they caused our country it is refreshing to know one thing. These folks do not represent the values or beliefs of America. They are a bunch of self-righteous, greedy, amnesiac people who crashed our economy and now want us all to pay for it while they get away scot-free yet again. They are racist hate-mongers who think poor folks are that way because they will not get a job. All these folks opposed healthcare because of course, their sorry, rich asses are covered.
The last thing we as Americans or Democrats need to do is compromise with these folks. Their movement exposes them for what they are. They had their run at governing and you know what happened?? They failed miserably and you footed the bill not them. Why would they not want that again?? Lets hope America finally sees them for what they are, selfish unpatriotic souls who only care for themselves.
