Can you imagine how much fun this had to have been? <sarcasm>

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Sarah Palin spoke to a crowd of about 16,000 attending an evangelical Christian women's conference in Louisville Friday night.

The Courier-Journal reports the 2008 Republican candidate for vice president mixed stories of personal struggles and calls for women to be good mothers and good citizens with criticism of President Barack Obama - although she did not mention him by name.

Yes, who else but Sarah Palin is the perfect person to talk an evangelical Christian women's conference. Now being both a man and an athiest, I am double unlikely to be caught at such an event. From the Courier-journal...

...She asked for the women — who greeted her with an enthusiastic standing ovation — to provide a "prayer shield" to strengthen her against what she said was "deception" in the media.

She denounced this week’s Wisconsin federal court ruling that government observance of a National Day of Prayer was unconstitutional — which the crowd joined in booing. She asserted that America needs to get back to its Christian roots and rejected any notion that "God should be separated from the state."...

Yes because we all know how wonderful things work out in theocracies don't we? Rejected ANY notion. Even a little separation? A sprinkle???

These people, and their concept of what America should be, frightens me. The founders too, I would imagine....
