I began watching the show probably around 5 years ago. It's gotten a bad rap because certain members of the previous administration couldn't distinguish A FICTIONAL TELEVISION SHOW from reality. I, however, can, and I've found the show to be wonderfully entertaining. 24 is supposedly going to the big screen, so Jack Bauer can't be killed off tonight - or can he?! ;)
On to "this day in history!" On this date in 1844, Samuel F.B. Morse transmitted the message, "What hath God wrought!" from Washington to Baltimore as he opened America's first telegraph line. Huh! Go figure, that's EXACTLY what I think whenever I see this image on my television machine. ;D
On this date in 1994, four men convicted of bombing New York's World Trade Center in 1993 were each sentenced to 240 years in prison. Ya' know where they were convicted? CIVILIAN COURTS! And, guess what else?! They're in prison IN THIS COUNTRY! And, guess what else more??!! Not a single one has escaped or nothin'. Wow...
A couple of notable birthdays include Priscilla Presley turning 65 today & having one too many plastic surgeries. Have you see her lately??!! She looks way better here. ;D

#5 "Oil Rigged" AKA "The Viscosity of Hope" AKA "Politics Muddy the Waters" AKA "Like Oil and Water" - BP/BS still hasn’t capped the Deep Water Horizon oil spill that it’s promised to do numerous times; BP/BS is still using the dispersants they were ordered not to use. Ya’ know, if I was this insubordinate in my gig, I’d be out on my a$$ LONG AGO! I wouldn’t have lasted 34 days. Keith is pi$$ed – as we all should be.
The EPA told BP/BS to scale back the stuff they were told not to use to begin with BY THE EPA?! OK, do we still have GWB/DICK cronies in the EPA?! Half a billion dollars has been pledged to help determine the environmental impact of the spill & the dispersants. Huh...that’s less than a weeks’ worth of profit probably? President Obama chatted with Gulf Cost governors today, and the Energy Secretary is on his way to Houston to try to come up with more plugging ideas. Dears, we are too little too late on that score. Secretary Salazar apparently promised this past weekend to dispense with BP/BS’s cleaning efforts since they’ve done SO WELL so far. The head Coast Guard dude says that only BP knows how to clean up the mess. Ya’ know, let’s get the Keystone Cops down there to look this situation over; they can’t do any worse than what’s been done so far!
The capping effort on the docket has a 60 – 70% chance of actually working. Huh...most students can’t graduate from college with that GPA. Senate Dems want investigations to see if BP/BS has acted criminally. Uh...YA’ THINK?! Howard Fineman gets to talk "black gold" tonight. A whole lot of people don’t think President Obama gets the urgency of exactly what’s going on in the Gulf. Sadly, I’m beginning to agree. Howard mentioned the perception of a "...lack of focus..." in the Gulf clean – up & response efforts. Kind of like in the HCR debate, yes? Howard Fineman wants Rahm Emanuel more involved in this stuff??!! Gadzooks! Haven’t those people down there suffered enough? Rich Steiner has seen the damage & studied it himself; he’s not thrilled with the use of dispersants. As a marine biologist, he just wants the stinkin’ oil outta there already! Mr. Steiner ain’t one of biggest fans of Tony Hayward, either. Mr. Steiner thinks other oil companies should bring their off – shore drilling experts to the Gulf to try to work together to get the oil to stop flowing. Yea, good luck with THAT honey.
#4 "ApPAULling" AKA "Rand Old Party" - The good Dr. Paul thinks laws would be unnecessary if everyone was just Christian, gosh darn it! Well, this heathen Buddhist will stay heathen, thank you very much.

#3 "Tea Party Trouble" - Tea baggers suddenly don’t want to tea bag with Senator Nude Cosmo anymore; I’m sure he’s crying a river. Senator Nude Cosmo voted "yes" on the financial reform bill; that left a bad taste in the tea baggers’ mouths. ;D Most of Senator Nude Cosmo’s donations & criticism are coming from outside of MA. Gov. Rendell discounts the tea bagger effect in PA – 12. Senator Reid’s prospects are looking up because a whole lot of people are beginning to think & believe the Chicken Lady’s goose is cooked – HA!
Ah man...you can’t wear a chicken costume at NV polling places? DAMN! Can you eat chicken at a polling place? What if some poll worker has a chicken salad sandwich?! Thomas Frank gets to talk about the tea baggers not working or playing well now with Senator Nude Cosmo. Tea baggers don’t really believe in fiscal responsibility?! WHAT??!! $hit, my world view is shot to hell. The tea bagger candidate in NV is surging, but she might be easier for Harry Reid to beat.
