Charles CurtisStanley’s quilt top
We have a beloved community member who suffers from AIDS – and all the miseries that go with that. When I asked him if he would like a community quilt he deferred, saying please take care of everyone else first.
He is like that. And his generous nature has endeared him to so many.
Let’s make a “love catcher” quilt for this dear, dear friend, dadanation. It will bear messages from you, written in archival ink on muslin by me, pieced together with all sorts of cheerful color and lots of love. To include a message in the quilt, please put it in a comment below.

I figure the cost of producing one of these quilts at $5/message – or about the cost of sending a nice greeting card. This covers materials and a bit of our time. If you would like to donate to dadanation’s quilt project, here is a PayPal link – or email me for a snail mail address if you prefer checks. But please leave a message even if you cannot donate – someone will cover (this is a group project!) and your message will warm dadanation for a long time.

Charles CurtisStanley’s quilt is now being quilted. Lorikeet’s quilt top will be assembled tomorrow. I still need twenty-one messages for Dr. Lori and eight for Melody Townsel – I will post another diary in a day or so to collect those. Tonight we will collect messages for dadanation.
