Now, to show his pretty new colors as an establishment politician, and unrelenting Mitch McConnell Republican Rand Paul is oozing partisanship in a blind attempt to please the Republican establishment by opposing Elena Kagan before one hearing has been held:
In a release Wednesday, Paul said he would vote against Kagan, whom he described as a "liberal Obama ally."
He said he was concerned that she would be an activist judge for her liberal position and that she has argued against a federal partial-birth abortion law and is in favor of more restrictions on guns.

It is amazing how little time it took for Paul to blend right in with the disgraced Republican machine. Of course, after making a fool of yourself for the world to see this should have been expected. Rand Paul went from mad doctor on the outside to Mitch McConnell lackey in a record setting time span. Congrats Paulie!!
None of this has been lost on the campaign of Jack Conway. They hit back on the Kagan nomination and the fact that Rand Paul is now just a typical politician:
"The difference between Rand Paul and Jack Conway is that Conway would let the confirmation hearings of a nominee proceed before deciding if they are worthy of holding the office for which they are nominated," said Conway campaign spokeswoman Allison Haley.

And from an email from the Conway campaign:
For a while, Rand Paul really was a "new" kind of politician-shocking the nation by saying businesses should be able to turn away customers based on their race and suggesting that BP shouldn't be held accountable for the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history.
But Washington insiders like Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove quickly intervened and reined Paul in before he could do any more damage. Whether he's spouting Tea Party rhetoric or spinning like a seasoned Republican insider-Rand Paul is not the right choice for Kentucky. With your help, I can stop him from becoming our senator and can go on to Washington to fight for the things that are truly important to Kentucky-like putting people back to work and holding corporations like BP accountable.
So there you have it. Rand Paul went from mad doctor courting the tea-party radicals to Oliver Twist begging the McConnell machine for more gruel in one fell swoop. The only thing we know for sure about him is he is so out of touch with Kentucky values it is embarrassing.
Only one candidate in this race has actually saved voters money and held corporations accountable. That candidate is Jack Conway. We need to make sure he gets the resources he needs to keep another member of the McConnell establishment from poisoning the Senate. Go here to do just that:

So to all the Paul folks, welcome to the machine!!:
