Yes, Jack Conway has solid, concrete ideas to save $430 billion for taxpayers over the next ten years without kicking one disabled person out of their home or starving one unemployed worker. It is called compassion and common sense, and knowing where the real problems with our deficit lie:
$200 Billion, by giving Medicare the ability to negotiate for bulk rate discounts on prescription drugs. In 2004 when Congress created the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit, the pharmaceutical industry successfully lobbied for a provision that said Medicare could not negotiate for lower prices on prescription drugs like the Veterans Administration and Medicaid already do. Consequently, this sweetheart deal is estimated to protect up to $24 Billion of pharmaceutical profits every year. That is taxpayer money that could be used to lower the cost of prescription drugs for seniors and reduce the budget deficit.

He would also do nationally what he has done in Kentucky, cut fraud and waste:
$100 Billion, by reducing waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare just like he did with Medicaid here in Kentucky. The Government Accountability Office estimates there is at least $20 Billion a year of Medicare waste, fraud, and abuse. Cutting that in half could save at least $100 Billion over ten years.
Also, unlike Rand Paul who believes a Corporation should be able to do anything it wants, from spilling oil into the Gulf, to denying any race of people they do not like service Jack Conway would save money by ending idiotic policies that reward companies that move offshore to avoid taxes and American workers:
$130 Billion, by closing corporate tax loopholes on overseas interest and income and shutting down offshore tax shelters. The tax code has a loophole that lets companies deduct their foreign interest and income from their U.S. taxes. This provision essentially encourages companies to invest in foreign companies and ship jobs overseas. Experts estimate shutting this loophole would save $100 billion over ten years. And it would be more effective if combined with an effort to shut down offshore tax shelters, which the Congressional Budget Office estimates could save an additional $30 billion.
In fact no matter what the zealots in the tea-party movement and the anarchists in the Paul campaign will tell you, there is only one candidate in this race that has ever saved taxpayers anything:
Jack’s record as Attorney General demonstrates that he is the candidate voters can trust to get results when it comes saving taxpayers’ money. Jack has saved Kentucky taxpayers over $200 million by taking on big drug and oil companies.
You see, Jack Conway knows what the real problems that face this country are. He realizes the American worker who is unemployed because of the economy folks like Paul crashed, and the jobs they outsourced are victims, not the problem. He wants to fight for them against the real folks who have caused so much misery, the very folks who Rand Paul seeks to give a free ride.
While we all know that the ideology of Rand Paul is dangerous and has no place in the United States Senate, that is not all we have to rally around. We also have a very fine Democrat who has proven he can save taxpayers money, not with a laizzez-faire uncaring attitude toward working people but with real solutions that address what has really been the problem for far too long in this country.
We need to get behind Jack Conway and give him the resources he needs to expose the Mad Doctor for what he is, dangerous. Go here and support Jack Conway not only because the alternative is lunacy, but because in his own right Jack Conway is a fine candidate who just gets it and has a proven track record of saving money the right way:
