Talk me down, because I don't get it !

Why is it that the Gulf gusher is being treated like
it is not really that big of an emergency? That is how
I am perceiving it.

What if buildings were still falling and planes were still
flying into them 50 days after 9-11 ? I see this
as an attack from a foreign entity. Yes BP is a British
owned company and why is it being treated as an accident
when so much lying from them has gone on? Accident to begin with, maybe, but lies, coverups,running ads, how is
this any different from an act of war?

Every country as far as I know has not sent their sympathy.
I have not heard of any countries rushing to our aid in droves. I have not even seen BP do much of anything.
11 people died. The Gulf of Mexico being poisoned. The current more than likely sweeping this poison into the Atlantic seaboard and people getting sick.

Would we continue to let Terrorists control the cleanup
of 9-11 at ground zero and continue flying? NO !
I am not downplaying 9-11. I am saying, there was a sense
of compassion and clean up effort. Two building fell and
people died. Guess what? People will die from this.
How come the Prime Minister of Britian has not been here
and addressed the people of the Gulf? Where is the sense
of urgency?
I don't get it. People are losing their heritage, their
livilhood, their futures and we are losing the lower southern 40. Why are people allowing kids to swim in those waters? Beaches are closed and no one is stopping people from swimming.

Do people have to fall over and die immediately to get
a resolution passed to get BP executives bound over to
criminal authority. Make me understand.
Are people just unaware how big and horrible this really is? IMO, people are going on about their business and
do not have a clue what this really means.

Only the talking heads throw out some stuff and the country is aware but not to the extent they should be except the folks like us who are really aware.
