Yes America, that is what the Republicans are running on this year:
"Tax policy is dynamic. If you have the right kind of tax reform, it helps generate a more dynamic economy," said Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which writes tax law. While that may be true, even the Bush Treasury Department concluded that its tax cuts increase budget deficits.
"There's a distinction between taxes and spending," Crapo said. "We have a huge problem with a lack of spending restraint."

Sounds like a bunch of Crapo to me. But the crap that Crapo leaves out is that it is because of failed Republican policies of spend and spend, put two wars, numerous tax cuts, and a Wall St. bailout on the taxpayer charge card that crashed the economy and caused millions to lose their jobs. Now that the bankers are bailed out and will not lend, Republicans think all of the fat and sassy unemployed workers they created should just quit complaining and get off their lazy asses and get a job:
Conservatives contend that tax policy should be considered differently from spending. Taxes spur the economy, their thinking goes, because the more consumers spend and invest, the more businesses will hire and the more the economy will grow. Reducing tax revenue, they claim, will force spending restraint on Congress.
On the other hand, they say that extending unemployment benefits without offsetting revenue doesn't appreciably boost the economy and could weaken jobless workers' incentive to seek new employment.
Yes, they totally forget that they outsourced all the jobs a long time ago. They forget that if we all went to work at McDonald's we would all be on food stamps and they would bitch about that. They believe it is more important for the very rich to be able to afford another yacht with their tax cut this year than they think it is for the folks who their policies left out in the cold to eat.
Conservatives want to talk about class warfare as they wage war on the poor and the newly poor. As they paint for battle to annihilate the middle-class. It is damn well time that the rich in this country got one thing through their heads. America as a whole has paid mightily for the economic boom and crash that they benefitted from. It is time for them to realize it is their turn to contribute and the day of no-risk investments is over. It is their turn to pay for the excesses of the last thirty years. They treat money like a crackhead looks at the next fix they will pick up off the street.
The working class has been depleted. There are no jobs for these workers to get and they ones that are out their pay nothing due to the wealthy and business owners freezing wages and outsourcing everything not bolted down. Working class America has given more that it's share as it dwindles. We were the only ones who did not recieve a most coveted bailout from a lame-duck idiot.
The working-class American has been sucked dry by the elitist and Corporate class in America. Until our people realize that and start fighting the real culprits all the tea-parties in the world will not make one difference in hell. The folks that caused our misery are lining up to slop at the trough again and it is damn well time we took our country back from them before it is too late. That is if it is not too late already.
