Woke up today, went to work, and checked out Dkos. Saw a disgusting diary based on a fantasy world in which "liberals" had stayed home to "teach Obama a lesson," and which blames liberals for the class war in Wisconsin.
Real people are hurting in Wisconsin and a few here see only a flame war.
No data, no facts, but accusations. A diary written right out of a person's ass. Lies and strawmen.
I call out that diary as demogoguery, like Mr. King. I say no to demogoguery in the name of Barack Obama. That diary denigrates President Obama. Obama does not see the world as the diarist does. That diary is bullshit.
People are hurting, and the author wants only a flame war on Daily Kos.
Those who seek only flame wars in this time are enemies of working people and must be defeated.
I cannot be part of a coalition with people who seek to destroy. I'm okay with Barack Obama, but I cannot work with the people here who only want flame wars in his honor.
Fuck this child's play on Daily Kos.
Do something that matters.
My fuck you to the author of that blog is here. Contribute to the recall in Wisconsin:
Act Blue: Democratic Party of Wisconsin - State Account
Work to recall the senators.
Tell the flamers here to fuck off by giving money and volunteering.
Every time we do real work, it's a fuck you to the flamers who see only Barack Obama and their ego attachment to a fantasy view of him.
In case I am not clear: Fuck You to all who attack Liberals with your lies and strawmen.
Update I: Pointed out by Ezekial, but the author and recommenders of that diary seek no facts:
the exit polling data if you can dig it up, that was widely documented onsite after the 2010 elections that showed that turnout among the sorts of folks who read blogs (liberals, activists) was not depressed, and that the people who didn't show up were the same people who don't show up pretty much every midterm
Like FoxNews, they peddle lies.
Update II: More facts:
Here's some of the numbers (2+ / 0-)
Recommended by:TomP, beltane
I'll repost them here for the curious.
Here's the numbers for 2006/2010
Liberal 20%/20%
African-American 10%/11%
18-29 12%/12%
The big difference is fewer moderates, more conservatives:
Moderate 47%/38%
Conservative 32%/42%
There was also, of course, shifts to Republicans within some of these demographics, which played a major role.
In 2006, Conservatives stayed home. In 2010, they were motivated as all get out. Liberals came out just as much both times. In fact, considering how motivated liberals were in 2006, it's possible 2010 could have been even worse if Liberals hadn't come out to vote in 2006 levels.

Facts dispel propoganda and lies.
Update III: Please recommend this diary: From by whereisboblafollette: Pie Fights Need Facts Too.+*
2006
Percentage of Electorate
Liberal 20 (87% voted for Democrats)
Moderate 47 (60% voted for Democrats)
Conservative 32
2008
Liberal 22 (87% voted for Democrats)
Moderate 44 (61% voted for Democrats)
Conservative 34
2010
Liberal 20 (90% voted for Democrats)
Moderate 38 (55% voted for Democrats)
Conservative 42
So let's stop blaming 'teh liberals' for 2010 and start figuring out why Obama and the Democrats lost Moderates. And in so doing, I hope we find instructive the anti-wealthy elite, pro working class populism we are witnessing in Wisconsin right now.

Facts over lies; truth over strawmen. When one believes lies because they favor an emotion, or what one wants to believe, we are lost. When I see attacks on "liberals" here, I am disgusted. I am a proud liberal and have been since I was about 13 in 1968. Those who don't like it can go to hell.
I believe in unions. I believe in working people. I oppose concentration of wealth. I believe in civil rights for all.
When you attack liberals, progressives, on the basis of lies, you get on "the fighting side of me." I'm no country music fan, so I'll give you a song from my youth: Country Joe and the Fish with the Fish Cheer.
Hear it loud! What's that spell?
Update IV: PaulVa, a good Dem and union supporter, turned me on to this site:

Which is true because the bank cannot directly donate to candidates – instead, it does so through its employee contributions which combined make it a bigger donor than even the Koch Brothers.
How important is M&I Bank to what is going on in Wisconsin? Not only was it a big donor to Scott Walker’s campaign, but it bankrolled Wisconsin’s GOP legislature that enabled Walker’s attack. In fact, M&I execs gave as much to Scott Walker than they did to every other candidate – combined.
There is one thing corporate players like M&I understand.
That is the bottom line.
And if public workers and the citizens of Wisconsin have to feel the pain, then it’s way past time M&I join them.
